Functionality

Thanks to the robot integrated into the »roboSet 2«, it is possible to guarantee high tool throughput 24/7 without any human operator. The robot even handles complex and time-consuming measuring tasks on its own—ensuring maximum process reliability and measurement accuracy at all times. The integrated force and torque sensor also gives you the option of inserting shank tools reliably even with tight fits, such as in intermediate sleeves.

The exchange of the intermediate sleeves is fully automatic. This makes it possible to measure and document different tool types within a single pallet management system and even within a single pallet.

Before the »roboSet 2« automation solution can start its work process, an operator only needs to define the tool loading configuration using the Pallet management feature in the »pilot 4.0« software. Thanks to the multi-pallet system (eight pallets as default, with optional ninth), large quantities can be processed and documented fully automatically. Overall, well-organized pallet management contributes significantly to process optimization, provides the flexibility to handle different batch sizes, and helps move goods more efficiently and sustainably.

An integrated camera, which is available as an optional accessory, allows ZOLLER service personnel to correct any irregularities that may occur more quickly and effectively.

In the »roboClean« upstream tool cutting edge cleaning system, the cutting edges of pre-cleaned round or shank tools are cleaned fully automatically in an ultrasonic bath and dust is removed. Air jets then dry the round or shank tools. This ensures exact measurement results.

When combined with the »roboSet 2« robotic loading system, the »roboMark« laser marking system operates completely autonomously, reliably, and efficiently within the ZOLLER safety enclosure.

Thanks to the multi-pallet system and the dual grippers, this ZOLLER automation solution can also process and document high volumes fully automatically.

A fume extraction unit with automatic filter monitoring, as well as other customer-specific add-on solutions such as the optional Weldon detection, round out the complete system.

»roboSet 2« performs automatic, contactless Weldon detection. The tool is aligned so that the robot can grip it securely and »roboMark« can label it at the appropriate position.

With automatic tool identification, an integrated scanner reads QR codes, DataMatrix codes, etc. Through the interface to ZOLLER TMS Tool Management Solutions, all information regarding the scanned tools is accessible, and links to external workplaces (such as the regrinding counter) can also be established.
