»ace« Spindle: Quick Changes
The »ace« spindle directly mounts any adapter tool post via its ball bushing with zero backlash. You can insert the appropriate tool holders in the adapter tool posts and clamp them using a power-operated mechanism, just as in a machine tool. A tool holder change takes 10 seconds with an accuracy of < 1 µm. The ROD rotary encoder captures the exact position of the C-axis.
